Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that the "malicious" policies of global hegemonic powers are the root cause of most of the problems facing the Islamic community in the region.
The Iranian leader referred to "crimes committed by the Zionist regime" and repeated "sacrilege of the Al-Aqsa Mosque" as the main problem of all Muslims.
During his speech on the occasion of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca (Saudi Arabia), the supreme leader called on the Islamic world elites fulfill their "due responsibilities" to tackle the "US policies malicious" and the rest of "hegemonic powers", according to 'Press TV'.
In addition, the Ayatollah said that the congregation of the Muslims on the occasion of the hajj pilgrimage is the best opportunity for the Muslim community and the academic act in accordance with their religious obligations.
Khamenei also referred to the death of dozens of pilgrims in Mecca, he stressed the need to provide security for the "guests of God" and stressed that Iran urges firm to compliance with the responsibility to ensure the faithful way.
